Ryan Saathoff got his start owning a business in 1999 by running a trucking company. After hard work and lessons learned, he  ultimately realized that his real passion was understanding finances and how to make them work for people. He trusted his internal voice that counseled him to step forward, and with two partners, he founded R.G. Alliance Group in 2013.

His guiding philosophy, he said, “is to simplify the way we engage with our clients: be kind, be honest and do our best.”

That mantra is built into comprehensive financial services provided by R.G. Alliance, which is a Sage Executive Group sponsor. The company’s commitment is to develop financial tools and strategies for business owners, interpret financial reports to reinforce or modify the behavior of the business and create a path to achieve the highest level of performance.

Ryan said R.G. Alliance is built on a full-service model that he likens to a football team that can call on the needed resources for any position.

He said his knack for finance comes naturally, that he has always been good with numbers. Unlike many others in the finance field who major in business or economics in college, he followed a path to areas that were not his strength, earning a degree in Literature and Writing Studies from Cal State University San Marcos. Those studies, especially incorporating sociology, helped him gain a better understanding of “how people function,” which has become a central part of his management approach.

Ryan also is a Sage Executive Group member and also finds time to play the guitar at social functions and for his church.

His statement describing what R.G. Alliance hopes to achieve for clients is highly personal. “I have found that by taking the time to craft an individualized approach,” he said, “I can create true value for my clients with businesses in any industry and of any size.”
